THE WAY ministry was born out of a desire to be faithful to the Lord’s calling.  The title “THE WAY” is derived from John 14:6 where Jesus said, "I am THE WAY and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” provides the foundation for the ministry.

The ministry is composed of men and women who volunteer their time and resources because of their love for the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to be faithful to the call He has placed into their hearts.  The specific call focuses on the people of Cambodia, especially the children.

One of the poorest countries in the world, Cambodia is filled with beautiful children who offer a quick smile and a welcoming spirit.  Many of the volunteers of THE WAY ministry have traveled to Cambodia.  While the intent of all mission trips is to provide a blessing for the Cambodian children and the adults who care for them, team members always leave Cambodia realizing that they are the recipients of the greater blessing-the love of Christ given by people who have nothing but love to give.

The overwhelming majority of the Cambodian population is Buddhist.  However, there is a growing number of Cambodians who claim Jesus Christ as their Lord and have embraced the words of James 1:27 “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure   and   faultless  is  this:  to  look  after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

Cambodia   is   still   recovering   from   the ravages of the Khmer Rouge who were responsible for the deaths of more than 1.7 million men, women, and children.  Yet, while Pol Pott and his regime turned Cambodia into what some have coined “The Killing Fields”, Cambodian Christians seek to turn the country into “The Living Fields.”
