Christianity in Cambodia
Though
there are strict governmental guidelines that must be followed, Christianity is
spreading throughout Cambodia.
Being
predominately a Buddhist society, the number of Christians is relatively small.
However, a growing number of Cambodians are becoming more interested in
Christianity, especially of its central focus of love and grace.
A number of house churches have been established and have pastors who seek to be Christ-like to their families, friends, and community. As a result, a number of Cambodians are beginning to listen to the Truth and are giving their hearts to Jesus Christ.
Pastors receive a meager amount for their work,
but are dedicated to their calling and seek to share Jesus Christ with
others. THE WAY ministry is seeking individuals who have a heart for
pastors and would agree to support an individual pastor at the rate of $50 per
month. Though minimal, this amount will allow pastors to spend more time
spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. Additionally, Bibles (written in the Khmer language) are can be
purchased for $7.
